Nora Larson
North Dakota to Switzerland (Summer) and Kenya (Fall)
Current Status/Future Goals:
- Holds Associate of Science degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management.
- Career goals center around developing and growing opportunities within the agricultural community, specifically, utilizing local heritage and artisanal handcrafts as an income source through agritourism.
Previous International Experience(s):
- Helped with international exchange student meal at Black Hills State University (BHSU).
- Attended yearly open house art exhibits by Jonathan Imafidor and Dotun Popoola, visiting artists from Nigeria.
- Attended the international dinner and dance at National 4-H Congress.
Ag-Related Experience(s):
- Worked on family farm/ranch.
- Worked at a small market garden (Fretless Farms).
- Served as an AmeriCorps Member with the Foundation for Agricultural and Rural Resources, Management and Sustainability (FARRMS)
Other Experience(s):
- Entrepreneur in web design and social media strategist with experience in video, music, and television production.
- Tourism and event planning.
Interests:
- Traveling
- Baking
- Hiking, running, cycling, camping
- Watching movies, hanging out with friends, thrift shopping
- Being involved with or enjoying theatre and music
- Listening to podcasts
- Playing with the family dogs
