IFYE 2023 Outbound Nora Larson

North Dakota to Switzerland (Summer) and Kenya (Fall)

Current Status/Future Goals:

  • Holds Associate of Science degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management.
  • Career goals center around developing and growing opportunities within the agricultural community, specifically, utilizing local heritage and artisanal handcrafts as an income source through agritourism. 

Previous International Experience(s): 

  • Helped with international exchange student meal at Black Hills State University (BHSU).
  • Attended yearly open house art exhibits by Jonathan Imafidor and Dotun Popoola, visiting artists from Nigeria.
  • Attended the international dinner and dance at National 4-H Congress.

Ag-Related Experience(s):

  • Worked on family farm/ranch.
  • Worked at a small market garden (Fretless Farms).
  • Served as an AmeriCorps Member with the Foundation for Agricultural and Rural Resources, Management and Sustainability (FARRMS)

Other Experience(s): 

  • Entrepreneur in web design and social media strategist with experience in video, music, and television production.
  • Tourism and event planning.

Interests: 

  • Traveling
  • Baking
  • Hiking, running, cycling, camping
  • Watching movies, hanging out with friends, thrift shopping
  • Being involved with or enjoying theatre and music
  • Listening to podcasts
  • Playing with the family dogs
