What to Expect:
IFYEs will arrive by plane to Arlanda, Stockholm and will be met there by representatives from the Swedish IFYE club. All incoming IFYEs will have a shared weekend with introduction and information. The Swedish IFYE club is responsible for the trips between the host families.
Participants will live in families, often on a farm, but not always. IFYEs may be asked to help a little with the household or on the farm. The host families are distributed in all parts of the country, so that the participants get to experience different parts of Sweden and learn about the traditions and culture.
Many host families have children who are members of Sweden's 4H (for young people between the ages of 7 and 25), so IFYEs will participate in various 4H activities.
