Host Family Application Process
The journey to becoming an IFYE host family is designed to ensure a safe and meaningful experience for both your household and our international participants. After you submit your online application, your provided references will receive a brief survey that takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. Simultaneously, every adult in your home aged 18 and older will be emailed instructions to complete a standard background check. Once these steps are underway, an IFYE state coordinator will contact you to schedule an in-home interview to get to know your family and evaluate your living situation.
