IFYE Outbound Application Process for 2025

Application Process

We're thrilled you're interested in becoming an IFYE Representative! To ensure your application is complete and considered for your preferred country, please follow these steps carefully. The deadline for all application materials is May 1, 2025.

Application Checklist:

  1. Complete the IFYE Outbound Application - The application will take at least 45 minutes to complete. You can save your progress and return to the application from email while completing the application. The application will ask for the following:
    1. An uploaded Resume.
    2. An uploaded Headshot Photo.
    3. Uploaded optional Supplemental Documentation.
    4. Reference Contact Information - Contact information requested in application. IFYE will send online form to references for completion.
  2. Administrative Fee Payment - See instructions below.

Application Administrative Fee Payment

Program participation fees are only a small part of the total cost of our premier exchange program.  The IFYE Association of the USA, Inc. and other donors underwrite approximately 85% of the total costs.

The total program fee is $3,750 for the three-month program.  This fee includes airfare, orientation, debriefing, IFYE apparel, and a life changing experience.  The Administrative Fee of $250 is submitted with applications and is applied to the total cost if the applicant is accepted into the program. 

Check payments are acceptable also. Please list "IFYE Program Fee in the Memo." If payment is by check please send to:

Scholarships may be available. Please check with your State Coordinator or Traci Sherlock, Interim National Program Director tsherlock@ifyeusa.org for availability.

Occasionally, there are special circumstances that arise with the program fee payment schedule.  These should be discussed individually with the Interim National Program Director upon submission of application.
