Program participation fees are only a small part of the total cost of our premier exchange program. The IFYE Association of the USA, Inc. and other donors underwrite approximately 85% of the total costs.
A non-refundable administrative fee of $250 is due at the time you submit your application package. This fee is applied to your program participation fee if you are selected and further participate.
The program fee is $5,500 for the two-month program; $5,000 for the three-month program and $6,600 for the six-month program. This fee includes airfare, orientation, debriefing, IFYE apparel, and a life changing experience.
You are responsible for your passport; travel immunizations, medications, and visas (if required); medical insurance and trip insurance (if desired); and spending money. We recommend that you have an emergency fund available to you when you are abroad.

Occasionally, there are special circumstances that arise with the program fee payment schedule. These should be discussed individually with the National Program Director upon submission of application.
