About IFYE
IFYE Board Member - Mena Hautau
Mena Hautau is an 1978 IFYE alumni who traveled to Hungary. Since retirement in 2016 from Penn State Extension, I am privileged to have led an active life. I am involved in my church. I "winter" on Block Island, Rhode Island, doing house and pet sitting. I sew and quilt (a skill I learned through 4-H) and have various interests, such as gardening, traveling and genealogy. The activity I am most linked to internationally, is that I am involved with a committee that works with refugees, immigrants and Trans passengers (through church). I have personally helped two Afghan families navigate cold Minnesota winters and life in a different culture.
