IFYE Board Member - Judiann McNulty
Judiann McNulty served as an IFYE-YDP participant (International 4-H Exchange - Youth Development Program), traveling from Montana to Poland and Guatemala in 1978. Born and raised in rural Montana, she credits the IFYE program with opening up her career in international development. After participating in the IFYE program, she worked at a community level for eight years in Guatemala, then advanced to regional and headquarters positions in several international non-profit organizations, including CARE International, Mercy Corps, and Project Hope.
After gaining experience in several parts of the world, she became an independent consultant for the same organizations, as well as for other organizations including Helen Keller International, Catholic Relief Services, and Save the Children, working on projects funded by USAID and the USDA. Later, Judiann directly provided technical support to World Bank and USAID projects.
Judiann completed her undergraduate degree in Home Economics at Montana State University. She continued her education to earn a Master of Science in Nutrition Education from North Dakota State University and a doctorate in International Health at Tulane University. She was a board member for CORE group from 2002-2005 and for Neighbor-to-Neighbor Refugee Resettlement from 2022-2024 and has decades of experience with community-level programming, program design, and international relations.
